Centurion Guard
Developed by Centurion, Inc., Centurion Guard provides automated notification of operational problems on a Voice Information System (VIS) and/or a host interface system. Centurion Guard employs a dedicated PC platform to monitor operations and to send alphanumeric pager messages to a technician when problems are detected, therefore notification takes place even when the VIS and/or host system is out of service.
As Centurion Guard is not application specific, it functions in any VIS environment. The format and content of the pager message detail informs the technician what services or components are creating problems throughout the entire operation.
Centurion Guard features include:
- Pager message format contains alphanumeric error codes and detailed alert text.
- Message text is customized for each user system and site operation.
- A second pager is alerted if the first pager does not respond.
- Pager messages can be directed via the VIS server error message network, and can be directed to Centurion, Inc. service personnel as the primary point of contact for service alerts.
- Software is included to monitor CPU usage and disk space conflicts on the VIS server.
- Alarms can be overridden on the PC via server commands, or via an IVR script.
- Informational pages can be transmitted to support personnel where error conditions have terminated, such as when a VIS server or host interface system link has been broken, then reconnected. This condition will alert support personnel that the error occurred, has been resolved, and immediate service is not required.
