Host Data System Integration

A seamless interface to either a local or remote core processor, or host data system enables your customers to enjoy an informative and efficient access to their information. Centurion, Inc. will develop a custom interface to fit your exact needs… insuring your callers have access to information they need, in the required format.

Connectivity to multiple hosts, or multiple connections to one host can be supported at the same time, with any application programmed to use one or all types of connectivity. One popular method of interface to a host system is accomplished by “screen scrape” functions, with the Centurion, Inc. applications appearing as a terminal user to the host, while direct access connectivity is also available.

Initially, a site design study will define the required data needed to interact with callers, a host screen(s) will be identified and an interface module will be prepared to bridge the host data system with the Centurion, Inc. application. Once the interface is completed, unless the screen format used by the “scrape” process changes, host based programming will not be necessary.

Centurion, Inc. is a dominant provider of host data system integration for mainframe, LAN, and PC-based hardware and software systems. Our technical staff has demonstrated their expertise by linking ACD systems in both Windows and UNIX multi-user and network based systems to:

  • IBM (mainframe, AS/400, RISC 6000, S-36/38): TN3270, TN5250, 3151.
  • DEC: VT type terminals, including VT100, VT220, VT320.
  • NCR: financial terminals.
  • Unisys/Burroughs ET1100.
  • Hewlett-Packard (3000, 9000): HP700-96.
  • Wyse 50, Televideo 925, ADDS Viewpoint, etc.

This list represents a small sampling of systems and terminals implemented in this application. Integration to other devices can be developed and implemented, as user needs dictate.

We also are prepared to integrate Informix, Sybase, Oracle, DB/2, and Microsoft SQL Server databases in both Windows and UNIX environments, which include DLL API’s and ActiveX components.
